Versatile Tile / Coaster – Inky One; Ochre Mesh#1

Description

This ceramic tile features a digitally printed design created from an original flower hammered artwork made in my Norfolk studio. The print shows a repeating pattern of dark botanical impressions with natural textures and tonal variation on a soft cream background. The details from the hammered petals are captured with high resolution clarity on the smooth ceramic surface. The tile can be used as a coaster, decorative display piece or wall tile. It is durable, easy to clean and designed to add a distinctive botanical element to the home.

Story

This came from an early cloth that was hammered and over-hammered over a period of three summers until the flowers became entwined with each other forming a dense overgrowth. As experimental pieces they were so confused in form I did not think they would yeild much to the editing process. I was wrong some of the cuts are the most striking I have in the catalogue.
