Versatile Tile / Coaster – Inky Ones; Black Geranium #1

Description

This ceramic tile features a digitally printed design created from an original flower hammered artwork made in my Norfolk studio. The print shows four black geranium impressions arranged in a clean repeating layout on a soft cream background. The natural textures and tonal details from the hammered petals are preserved in the high resolution print. The tile can be used as a coaster, decorative display piece or wall tile. It is durable, easy to clean and designed to bring a bold botanical element into the home.

Story

Geranium was the first Inky One that I collaged. Before I taught myself to use Adobe Illustrator I just experimented with WordPress, simple editing nothing fancy and as soon as I saw this I knew it was special. The print itself is striking because its so spare. The perfect little Indigo black flower sat with a bud, above what looks like a turbulent sea of iron.

As you can see from the gallery picture it complements other Inky One designs and is easy to mix and match.
