Description
This microfibre facecloth features a digitised print taken from an original flower‑pounded textile created in my Norfolk studio. Real petals were hammered into cloth to release their natural pigments, producing the soft shapes and blended colours seen in the design. The artwork is reproduced on both sides of the cloth with crisp detail on a smooth microfibre surface that is gentle on the skin and suitable for daily cleansing. The cloth dries quickly and packs small for travel. It is washable at 40°C and keeps its colour with regular care.
The design offers a fresh botanical look with a direct link to natural materials through its flower‑pounded origin.
Story
This lavender hued geranium print is from a large cloth full of the same coloured blooms. I am drawn to purples and lilacs and mauves. many of the cloths I have pounded are dominated by these colours. The graffiti? The stray tendrils that look like graffiti are an unusual contrast to the single flower.
